Overview

• Improved performance and security
• Complete rewrite of the built-in forward proxy and its components
• Complete rewrite of the PAC resolver

New Features

• The Sauce Connect built-in proxy is replaced with the open-source Forwarder proxy to address known performance and security issues
• Tunnel throughput improvement up to 20% in test session duration
• The ‘–pac’ flag now fully supports the file URL scheme as described in RFC 8089, or a file path (including a relative path)
• Mac/Linux file path example: 

  --pac file://Users/JohnSmith/Desktop/MyPac.pac

• Windows file path example: 

  --pac file:///Users/JohnSmith/Desktop/MyPac.pac

• You can now use the IPv6-aware proxy helper functions, and the “FindProxyForURLEx” can be used as the PAC function

• HTTP request headers are now logged at debug level (with the “-vv” flag)
