We're excited to announce significant advancements in our Cucumber.js with Playwright integration:

• Scenario-Based Sharding:

  • Now, you can shard your tests based on individual scenario names.
  • Saucectl automatically extracts scenario names from your test files and creates a separate job for each unique name (identically named scenarios remain grouped together).

• Optimized Tag Filtering:

  • When using tag-based filtering, feature files might sometimes be allocated to VMs only to be skipped due to a lack of matching scenarios.
  • With the new shardTagsEnabled setting, saucectl intelligently filters out feature files that don't contain any scenarios matching the specified tags.
  • This prevents unnecessary VM allocations.
